PARENT INFORMATION

 

Drop-off & Pick-up

• Art Club is hosted at Family Church in Shelbyville, but is independently operated and is not a Family Church program.

• When you arrive, enter through the main front doors. We are located downstairs, immediately to the left once you enter the building. Look for the Art Club signs!

• Parents/guardians will need to bring their child inside the building and sign them in with an Art Club team member.

• Please plan to walk your child downstairs and complete the sign-in process before leaving.

• At the end of Art Club, parents/guardians will need to come inside to pick up their child and sign them out.

• If you are running late, please contact me as soon as possible to let me know.

• Children should be picked up by 4:00 PM. A childcare fee will be added for that day for children who are picked up after 4:00 PM.

• For your child's safety, children will only be released to an authorized parent/guardian or approved pick-up person listed during registration.

What should my child bring?

• All art supplies are provided! Your child does not need to bring anything to participate.

• We do recommend sending your child in clothing that can get a little messy. We will do our best to protect clothing, but creativity sometimes gets messy!

What if we miss a class?

Art Club fees are based on reserving your child's spot in the program, not on individual class attendance. Because supplies and projects are prepared in advance based on the number of registered students, there are no refunds or credits for missed classes. If your child is unable to attend a class, their project will still be prepared for them and can be sent home at the next class.

What if my child doesn't want to participate?

Not every child will walk into Art Club ready to jump right in—and that's okay! I'll encourage hesitant kids through small steps, choices, encouragement, and relationship-building without putting pressure on them.

We'll celebrate effort, creativity, and trying something new—not perfection. My goal is for every child to feel welcomed, safe, and confident enough to explore their creativity at their own pace.

Every child is welcome. Every child is creative.

 

Can parents stay?

Art Club is a drop-off program designed to help kids build confidence and enjoy creating independently. For the safety and privacy of all participants, parents/guardians will not remain in the classroom during Art Club.

If your child has a specific need that may make drop-off difficult, please reach out—we're happy to talk through how we can support them!

Can my child just attend one week?

Absolutely! Single-class registration is available for $20 per class. Registration must be completed ahead of time so I can prepare enough supplies for each child.

No same-day drop-ins, please.

Can siblings attend?

Sure! Siblings (K-5th Grade) are welcome to join Art Club. Weekly registration is $20 per child, and a discounted sibling rate is available for monthly registration.

Each child must be registered separately so I can prepare supplies for everyone.
